Juneteenth - Underground Railroad - Basketball - Black History

 This blog post covers four current social media trending topics ... 1) The upcoming "Juneteenth" celebration, 2) The Underground Railroad Netflix drama series, 3) The current NBA playoffs and 4) the ongoing Black History awareness ( currently talking about the Tulsa Massacre anniversary ).




The above logo is a basketball image with the Underground Railroad routes used by escaping slaves as a "chain net" underneath the rim. The fictional basketball team "Cleveland Conductors" of the "Underground Railroad Basketball League" honours the "Conductors" who were people who helped escaping slaves navigate their freedom. This cool t-shirt design is one that you can wear with historical pride.

The Underground Railroad routes in the State of Ohio was also known as the "Crossroads". This design below diagrams the routes within the state boundaries. This state map logo would make a great history reference for the current and next generation to remember the journey for freedom and the struggles that escaping slaves went through. The "Crossroads" even had it's own secret code embedded in quilts for escaping slaves to follow.

President Joe Biden repeatedly endorsed vaccines.gum instead of vaccines.com and the "CCD" instead of the "CDC". Of course, this was a honest error that he later corrected.
